The Syrian Regime Continues to Arrest Dozens of Palestinian Female Refugees and Reticent about their Fate

The AGPS documenting and monitoring team confirmed that the number of Palestinian female prisoners in the prisons of the Syrian regime, since the beginning of the ongoing war in Syria till now, has reached 75 Palestinian refugees. There is no camp does not contain female prisoners who were arrested at the checkpoints located in the gates and entrances of the camps and cities.

The team also noted that the female detainees were scattered according to the Syria cities as follows: 20 refugees in Damascus, 17 refugees in Damascus suburb, 10 refugees in Homs, 3 refugees in Deraa, 2 refugees in Lathakeia, and 21 refugees in different areas.

 The AGPS reported that some prisons are University students or activists or mothers with or without their children. The Palestinian women in  Syria had been arrested, kidnapped, killed, and became disabled as a result of the ongoing conflict in Syria since fighting broke out there in March 2011 between conflict parties. "
