The AGPS monitoring and documentation team announced that (4) Palestinian refugees died due to torture in the Syrian prisons, including a child, during last June. The victims are:
Raed Al Khateeb, from Damar city in Damascus; he is a football player at Alwehda Syrian Team, and he died while being detained in the prisons of the Syrian regime.
Amer Al Shihabi, from the Yarmouk camp south of Damascus, and the child Mahmoud Abdullah Yousef Eid Deyab, died due to torture in the prisons of the Syrian regime after being detained for more than 3 years.
The child is the youngest Palestinian prisoner who died due to torture in the prisons of the Syrian regime, as he was arrested when he was 13 years. He is originally from Al Shajara village in Palestine, and he lives at Al Aedein camp in Hama.
The refugee, Ahmed Khalid Hawash, from Handarat camp in Aleppo, died due to torture in the prisons of the Syrian regime after being detained for three years. He was arrested at his place of work in Mesyaf city.
