The Regular Army Targets Deraa Camp with Heavy Machine Guns

In the south of Syria, violent shelling targeted Deraa camp, as the regular army targeted neighborhoods of the camp with 5 tank shells and 180mm mortar shells stationed at Alhal market. The shelling resulted in a state of panic among residents and damages in civilian houses.

The suffering of Deraa camp is increasing day by day due to the frequent shelling and clashes since the beginning of the ongoing war in Syria. According to unofficial statistics, shelling and clashes resulted in the destruction of almost 70% of the camp's buildings, in addition to many victims. The AGPS documented 237 victims from Deraa camp who died since the beginning of war events.  Meanwhile, the remaining residents are suffering from very serious humanitarian conditions, especially in terms of health and living aspects, in addition to the water cut for 828 days, noting that unofficial statistics reported that the number of remaining residents does not exceed 500 people.
