Handarat Camp for Palestinian refugees and its vicinity were exposed to violent bombing with explosive barrels and rockets, coincided with violent clashes between the Syrian Army alongside Al Quds Brigade with the Opposition armed groups using all kinds of weapons heavy and light.
It is mentioned that the camp is empty of its residents because they were forced to leave their camps due to violent clashes between the Regime and the Opposition since about 1173 days and ended with the control of the Opposition over the camp. However, the Opposition forces prevented the residents to return back to the camp since then, where the camp was exposed to frequent bombing with explosive barrels all this period which led to the destruction of about 80% of the camp's houses.
