Hundreds of Palestinian Syrian and Syrian refugees implemented a sit-in in the "Mynttorget" yard in front of the headquarters of the Swedish Parliament for the third day, in protest against the Swedish immigration's application of one of the most stringent laws in the history of Sweden toward immigrants.
The law issued by the Swedish Parliament was recently into force since July 20; the law includes tougher asylum and reunification procedures for refugees in Sweden, where permanent residences was prevented and replaced with temporary accommodations of two categories. The first category is for 13 months and the second one is 3 years, in addition to setting strict conditions to refugees who entitled to be reunited with their families, such as work and housing by the resident in Sweden.
