Closing the UNRWA Clinic in Al Aedin Camp in Homs since months Increases the Suffering of the Refugees

Al Aedin camp residents in Homs complain of the deteriorated health situation and not benefiting from the free health services of UNRWA after losing the only UNRWA clinic in the camp. Dr. Asem Al Shehaby, one of the camp’s residents, said that the clinic is closed since 4 months and unofficially closed since 6 years under the pretext of appointing assigning for the clinic.

Dr. Al Shehaby insured that the doctors’ special clinics turned to be charity clinics and the free UNRWA clinic in considered from the biggest clinics and demanded to open the clinic and forming a group of five doctors to work on a daily basis in addition to providing services to people for free.

The Committee of Following up Homs Caps Affairs sent earlier a letter to the Director of UNRWA Affairs in Syria, Michael Kingsley, about the needs of the Palestinian refugees in Al Aedin camp in Homs, the letter emphasized the daily life of the Palestinian refugee and included the relief, education, health, hygiene and the careers.
