In south of the Syrian Capital Damascus, a new grouping was announced under the title of Palestine Sons Gathering. The statement that the Gathering issued and published through the social media website –Facebook- announces that the Gathering was approved by all Palestinian military and civil organizations in south of Damascus to face the difficult conditions that the Palestine people suffer and the risks that threaten their survival.
The statement considers that the gathering as the only official representative for the Palestinians of Syria in south of the Syrian capital Damascus. It is worthy to mention that many of the Palestinian military groups were established in Yarmouk Camp; on 16/12/2012, the Syrian warplanes targeted the camp with bombings that led its residents to leave the camp. In addition to the entry of the Syrian Opposition such as Aknaf Bait Al Maqdis, Ahrar the Palestine Liberation Army, Al Kara’in, Al Za’teet, and the Sons of Yarmouk. It is refered that some of the armed brigades left the camp and some stayed under the umbrella of Fath Al Sham –Al Nusra Front- and Daash and some of them left to Yelda to find haven.
