Unemployment Increased the Negative Impact of the War on the Palestinians of Syria Refugees

Unofficial statistics of the AGPS indicate that more than 80% of the Palestinian refugees in Syria have lost their jobs and businesses due to the war in Syria, especially those associated with the besieged and destroyed Palestinian camps.

Unemployment was negatively reflected on the Palestinian families in Syria, many children had to leave school and find work that is not suitable to them, to help their parents to secure their daily food on one hand and the reduction of the family expenses on the other hand, especially the displaced families that pay $150 monthly.

In addition, the emergence of many problems associated with unemployment, including the exploitation of Palestinian youth by some Palestinian militant groups affiliated to the Syrian regime, where they recruited and forced them to fight the Syrian armed Opposition for $75 per a month.
