Syrian presidential has issued a new legislative decree orders to raise the price of getting travel documents for Palestinian refugees. The legislative decree No. (20) for 2016 amends the articles (10) and (12) No. (18), which were issued on 2 November 2014 and related to put a price for Palestinian passport.
According to SANA (Syrian Arab News Agency), the new decree amends article No. (10) of law No. (18), which was issued on 2 November 2014, to be like: article No. (10) which puts prices for Palestinian passports, travel documents and traffic tickets.
In more details, 10,000 LS is to be paid for each passport or travel ticket or traffic passport if the applicant has enough time to wait in the line. But if he/she was in a hurry 25000 LS should be paid to get the needed documents expeditiously.
Amendments have been made on article No. (12) of law No. (18) to be like this:" anyone loses his/her passport should pay a fine of 25000 LS unless the loss was out of hands like disasters and so on"
