Syrian war forbids thousands of Palestinian children from education.

AGPS pointed in its last documentary report   "Palestinians of Syria Between Travelling and Vanishing" that the educational process in UNRWA schools was affected because of disastrous circumstances in Syria. A lot of schools stopped working and the percentage of those students who were capable to learn deteriorated from 95% before the war to less than 75% in 2015.

UNRWA announced on its website that large percentage of Palestinian students in Syria had to leave their schools; because of poverty, unemployment and inability to secure food or a place for living.

According the report, education is the most significant service which UNRWA provides for Palestinian refugees in Syria. The education program in Syria used to employ 118 basic schools before the war. Unfortunately, only 42 of them are working now in addition to the 43 extra schools which are provided by the Syrian Ministry of Education. The report confirmed that the struggle in Syria limited a lot of chances for young men and children to be educated. Fearing of being killed or arrested are main obstacles which prevent secondary students' from proceeding their education.
