UNRWA restarted classes at the Japanese-sponsored Dalata/Beit Jibrin School at al-Sayida Zeinab camp in the Damascene suburbs following reconstruction works. Sometime earlier, the school, along with other civilian structures and institutions, were devastated by broiling confrontations, arbitrary blitzes, and unbroken exchange of machinegun fire between the Syrian regime allies and opposition outfits.
Founded in 1993, the Dalata/Beit Jibrin basic school accommodates up to 1,364 learners. The school is equipped with a club, an IT laboratory, and a science lab.
