A number of civilians sustained wounds after a round of mortar shells were slammed into Al-Wafideen camp, sheltering Palestinian and Syrian families, in Damascus suburbs. Heavy material damage was inflicted on civilian homes and structures. The humanitarian situation in the camp has remarkably gone downhill due to the swift upsurge in unemployment and poverty rates. The security situation has also sharply deteriorated in the camp due to its proximity to the battered Adra city.
