Violent clashes burst out in Yarmouk camp at predawn time on Wednesday between the Syrian regime militias and its Palestinian allies and the Al-Karain opposition battalion near the Yarmouk municipality and high school in Palestine Street. A round of mortar shells were slammed into various areas of the camp. No injuries have been reported.
Survivors of Yarmouk camp have frequently sounded distress signals over the abysmal living conditions due to the complete closure slapped by the regime army and its Palestinian abettors for over three years. The health and humanitarian situations have gone from bad to worse after ISIS outfits stormed the camp in early April 2016 and cordoned off the Ein Ghazal neighborhood under the pretext that it is run by the ISIS-affiliated Fatah Al-Sham Front, which rebranded itself from the Nusra Front.
