AGPS issued a 42-broadsheet documentary report entitled “Al-Neirab Camp: Facts on the Ground and Hopes for the Future.” The report sheds light on the situation endured by Palestinian refugees in Al-Neirab Camp, in Aleppo, for the period from March 2011 to August 2016.
It is di'vided into five major parts. The first part presents geo-historical facts about the camp while the second part unveils attempts to drag the camp into the Syrian warfare by appointing youngsters to quell demos and concoct strife. It also harks back to the massacre perpetrated by the Palestine Liberation Amy (PLA).
The third part examines the standpoint adopted by the Palestinian community and political factions in Al-Neirab Camp, who have had pergent opinions as regards the involvement in/detachment from underway hostilities. The majority of refugees appeared to support the disarmament of the camp. The fourth part spotlights the repercussions of the Syrian crisis on the socio-economic, intellectual, and medical state of affairs in the camp. As for the fifth part, it outlines thorough statics on the casualties and detainees, along with the leading causes of death, most notably shelling, sniping, abduction, and field execution.
The report is purely fact-based and rooted in data amassed by AGPS on-the-spot reporters and sworn affidavits from the ground.
