Violent clashes flared up on Monday between ISIS militias and Fatah Al-Sham battalions (formerly known as Al-Nusra Front) in Haifa bypass road in Yarmouk Camp, to the south of Damascus. Civilian homes were set on fire in the process.
At the same time, the Syrian government forces and their Palestinian partners struck the Yarmouk Camp with mortar shells overnight.
Reports have also emerged on the heavy deployment of government battalions at the main entrance to Yarmouk, setting the stage for an offensive from Al-Rija Square and Yarmouk Municipality.
