Palestinian refugee seen in Syrian lock-up after reports emerge on his death

Activists quoted an ex-detainee previously locked up in 235 Palestine Branch as reporting that he had met the Palestinian refugee Muayad Al-Arrab, a resident of Al-Muzeireeb, on October 28, 2016. Recently, his family has been told that he died.

Sworn affidavits by ex-detainees testified to the incarceration of Palestinian refugee children and women, along with elderly persons and chronic disease patients in Syrian regime prisons. According to AGPS data, 1,128 Palestinian refugees are held in Syrian lock-ups, including 77 female refugees whose fate remains shrouded in mystery. 453 were tortured to death in those penal complexes.
