Residents of Al-Sbiena Camp call for safe return to their homes

Residents of Al-Sbiena Camp for Palestinian refugees, to the south of Damascus province, called for a safe access to their homes, from which they had been displaced due to the deadly hostilities between the government army and the opposition outfits.

Al-Sbiena Camp has been under the full control of the government troops since November 7, 2013.

The calls were launched during a follow-up visit paid by Al-Quneitra Governor to the rural Damascus towns of Al-Dhiabiya and Al-Sbiena on Wednesday in an attempt to keep tabs on reconstruction works. The visit reportedly aims to set the stage for the return of the displaced refugees to their shelters, according to state-run news outlets.

The Al-Sbiena displaced residents and local activists spoke out against the apathy maintained by the Syrian government and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), among other political factions, as regards their tragic state of affairs and their cries for help.
