22-year-old Palestinian refugee Karam Al-Assadi, sheltered in the rural Damascus area of Al-Hama, was tortured to death in Syrian government prisons, where he had been held for three years.
Al-Assadi was arrested in 2013 on his way to Lebanon, seeking a safer shelter.
