An AGPS reporter quoted activists as stating that 40% of the residents of Al-Husseiniya Camp for Palestinian refugees, in Rural Damascus, have been denied access to their homes by the government troops.
The residents raised fears of arbitrary abductions at government checkpoints pitched around the access roads out of and into the camp. Several refugee youths and activists are also feared kidnapped by the government patrols for alleged affiliations with the opposition forces.
AGPS kept record of the abduction of a number of women at Syrian government checkpoints and the destruction of activsts’ homes in the camp.
On August 16, 2015, a number of displaced Palestinian families were allowed a safe access into their homes in the camp following a two-year ban.
