Residents of Ein Ghazal quarter in Fatah Al-Sham-led Yarmouk Camp have sounded distress signals over their dire socio-economic conditions due to the tough blockade imposed by the Regular Army and its Palestinian abettors for over three years.
ISIS outfits have also blockaded the main thoroughfares out of and into the camp on account that it is controlled by the anti-ISIS Fatah Al-Sham Front.
Speaking to AGPS correspondent from Yarmouk, a displaced woman said: “ISIS militias prevented me from handing out food boxes to my daughter in Ein Ghazal, where civilians have been grappling with a tragic humanitarian situation due to the acute shortage in food and medicines”.
Since August 5, 2016, ISIS militias grabbed hold of Al-Rija Square along with Ein Al-Ghazal neighborhood and Haifa Street in Yarmouk. ISIS fenced off the main roadblock connecting the area to Fatah Al-Sham-led neighborhoods, blocking civilians’ movement inside and out. ISIS gangs have also prohibited the entry of food and medicines in an attempt to force the Fatah Al-Sham combatants to throw in the towel.
