A hashtag campaign kicked off on Facebook under the slogan “Do Not Forget Yarmouk.”
The campaigners said the move aims to mobilize mass support for the Yarmouk Camp, among other refugee camps in the beleaguered Syrian territories.
The activists spoke out against the silence maintained by the Palestinian Authority, the Arab governments, and the international community as regards the tragic state of affairs rocking Palestinian refugee camps.
They further denounced the preplanned media blackouts regarding the cause and called on the displaced residents of Yarmouk to try to reach out to their families and fellows blockaded in Yarmouk so as to combine forces in the face of the tragedy befalling the Palestinian refugee community.
