15 Palestinian refugees died of war-related incidents in Syria in December 2016, 12 among whom were fatally gunned down. Shelling took away the life of one refugee while another was tortured to death in Syrian regime jails. One Palestinian refugee died, meanwhile, of medical neglect.
As for the geographical distribution of the casualties, Rural Damascus and Hums topped the list with four Palestinians each. Three died in Aleppo, Damascus, and Deir Ezzor. The other four casualties died in different areas across Syria.
