The Palestine Charity Commission in southern Syria delivered 55 orphan allowances in Al-Muzeireeb Camp, to the northwest of Deraa province, with an estimated average of 5,000 Syrian Liras per every single orphan.
The sum, which was donated by local benefactors, makes part of a charity project that has been ongoing for eight months.
Palestinian refugees in Deraa province have been subjected to dire living conditions as a result of the chronic power and water blackouts along with the high unemployment rate and swift price hike rocking the territory.
