Palestinian nurse Ibrahim Ali Al-Sheikh Tayeh, sheltered in Tel Shehab, was killed while working in a field hospital in Tel Shehab, in Deraa’s western suburbs, after a wildfire broke out at the hospital.
Another civilian was killed and others sustained injuries in the incident.
Local sources attributed the blaze to diesel drops leaked from a fuel-operated heater.
No official statement has been released as regards the circumstances and fallouts of the fire.
Most of the space heaters used by civilians in opposition-led areas are kerosene-fueled or gas-fired devices.
