As of January 15, 2017, UNRWA started the distribution of the 2017 cash allowances to the Palestinians of Syria. The distribution process is to be wrapped up on March 16, 2017.
A few weeks earlier, UNRWA said on Facebook that it will hand over 49,5000 Syrian Liras per every single family member for ordinary cases. Those taking refuge in UNRWA shelters and registered with the agency will receive a sum of 25,000 Syrian Liras per every refugee.
