23-year-old Palestinian refugee Abdul Rahman Ihsan Rustum, from the Palestine Liberation Army (PLA), was gunned down by a sniper in Al-Uteiba area, in Damascus Suburbs.
According to local news outlets, Rustum was hit with a sniper bullet in his throat at the same time as five PLA officers were killed after an artillery shell was dropped on Al-Uteiba area.
AGPS documented the death of 198 PLA fighters since the outburst of the bloody Syrian warfare.
Several Palestinian refugees have been forcibly enlisted at the PLA. Those who object conscription are often subjected to abduction and torture. A number of breakaways also joined the armed opposition outfits.
