Palestinian Refugee Formerly Shelter in Khan Al-Sheih Camp Holds Art Exhibition in Germany

An exhibition for the Palestinian artist from Syria Ghassan Al-Shehab was held in the Frankfurt Huff Hall in the German city of Mainz, the capital and largest city of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, from January 28 to February 3.

The event was sponsored by the provincial government and attended by the local minister-president, to whom Artist Al-Shehab offered one of his paintings.

Sometime earlier, Al-Shehab took part in an exhibition held by AGPS during the 14th Palestinians in Europe Conference staged in Malmo.

Several Palestinian academics, graduates, and artists from Syria have strived to make careers of their own overseas after they fled war-torn Syria. According to AGPS data, over 80,000 Palestinians from Syria have reached Europe, mostly onboard the “death boats.”
