Displaced Palestinian Families in Syrian-Libyan Dairy Farm Launch Cry for Help

Several Palestinian families in Deraa province who have sought shelter in dairy farms and sheep ranches, after their homes have gone ravaged in the unabated warfare, launched cries for help over their dire living conditions.

Having no place to run to or shelter to hide into, dozens of Palestinian refugees, who have been wondering down and out in streets, have turned to the uninhabitable Syrian-Libyan cattle farm as they hunted for a safer refuge for their traumatized children.

Located in Gileen town, lying some 25 km away from western Deraa, the Syrian-Libyan dairy farm has been rocked by chronic power and water blackouts along with the propagation of lethal infections.

The lack of medical care and the absence of relief assistance by UNRWA and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) have made the sanctuary a miserable place to live in.

Those taking refuge in the farm called on the UNRWA and all other concerned bodies to urgently step in and immediately work out the crisis.
