Palestinian refugees from Syria took part on February 1 in cultural events staged in an amphitheatre in the French multicultural city of Marseille.
Paintings drawn by the Palestinian-Syrian artists, among whom Hani Abbas and Mahmoud Salama, were put on display during the event.
The show further included an exhibition of live snapshots on the fallouts of the Syrian warfare and the situation endured by civilians in the beleaguered Yarmouk Camp and other adjacent areas. The shots were taken by the Palestinian refugee Ahmad Abassi, who has been stranded in southern Damascus.
Over 79,000 Palestinians reached Europe, fleeing war-tattered Syria.
