Number of Syrian and Palestinian Syrian refugees continue their sit-in in the Greek city of Athena protesting against the tightening of security procedures on them and not allowing them to leave Greece to the rest of the European countries.
According to a statement of one of the protesters that an official of Greek Ministry of Interior asked the protesters to break up the sit-in and to evacuate the squares, but the protesters refused and demanded of the Interior official to listen to their demands, and in turn, Deputy Minister of the Greek state for immigration and passports agreed to meet a delegation of Palestinians of Syria and asked them to make a list of the names of the protesters and brought with them.
It should be noted that Greece is one of the main gates of the arrival of refugees fleeing from the ongoing war in Syria to Europe in search of security, but the tightening of Greek security procedures towards refugees prevented the arrival of hundreds of them to their destination which led to hold them to stay in Greece at their own expense.
