Gov’t Affiliates Seize Homes of Palestinian Refugees in Damascus Suburbs

Reporting from Rural Damascus, AGPS news correspondent said Syrian government affiliates, believed to be Shiites, held sway over the homes of displaced Palestinian and Syrian civilians in AlDhiabiya area.

The Palestinian refugees slammed the Syrian government and its allied sects in Rural Damascus for relocating families of pro-regime fighters at the homes of Palestinian and Syrian civilians who have been forced out of the area some four years ago.

The refugees added that the newly-relocated families refused to leave their homes. Others have been forced to share their houses with pro-regime families, having no other place to take cover in.

On February 6, the Syrian regime troops allowed the displaced families of AlDhiabiya, housing dozens of Palestinian families, to return to their homes in the area, which was seized by the government squads by the end of 2013.
