A celebration was held by the Palestine Charity Commission in southern Damascus to honor learners at AlQuds School for their academic excellence.
Honor awards were handed over to outstanding students receiving elementary, preparatory, or secondary education at the school.
According to the commission, 221 learners were honored during the celebration, sparking a gleam of hope among the Palestinian refugee community in war-tattered Syria.
The teaching staff at Palestine Alternative School also distributed awards to brilliant learners from all levels.
The school headmistress said the recorded success rate exceeded 90% at the institution, providing education to some 400 learners. The school is run by the Jafra Foundation for Relief and Development.
