Hundreds of Palestinian Refugees Sheltered in Greek Makeshift Camps Sound Distress Signals

Palestinian refugees from Syria who have been stranded in Greece have sounded distress signals after most European states opted for a closed-door immigration policy, leaving hundreds of refugees trapped in underequipped makeshift refugee camps in Greece.

Speaking with AGPS, Palestinian refugees in Greece said they have been subjected to medical neglect, poor hygiene, and over-crowdedness, along with the lack of relief assistance and the propagation of poisonous reptiles in the frayed tents they have been locked up in.

An agreement between Turkey and Greece to tighten grip on refugees from Syria trying to creep into the Greek territories via the Turkish borders has made the situation far worse.
