A tough cordon has been imposed by the Syrian government troops on Khan AlSheih Camp for Palestinian refugees, west of Rif Dimashq province.
The government forces have also banned the entry of much-needed medicines, gas, fuel, and batteries into the shelter.
At the same time civilians’ access out of and into the camp has been subjected to tough restrictions. Employers and students who wish to leave the camp are required to put their names down on the registers of the Palestine Liberation Army (PLA).
Civilians stranded in the camp have also launched cries for help over the abduction sweeps and home break-ins carried out by the government squads in a barefaced infringement of the reconciliation deal struck with the opposition outfits and which stipulated the retreat of armed opposition groups in exchange for lifting the tough blockade on the camp and ceasing crackdowns against civilians.
