Under the invitation of Ideogramma organization, Palestinian poet from Syria Amer Sarsour, born and raised in Yarmouk Camp, is representing Sweden at a youth poetry festival held in Nicosia, in Cyprus, from 27 to 28 March.
Six poets from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Sweden, are to compete at the festival. The delivered verse will be translated into Greek.
Amer Sarsour, often referred to as “the poet of rebellion and anger,” has taken part in several such competitions.
