AGPS news correspondent sounded the alarm over the dire conditions endured by the Palestinian refugee community in the southern edges of Rif Dimashq, namely Yalda, Babila, and Beit Sahem.
The situation has gone remarkably downhill in the area due to the lack of health services, high rates of unemployment, and acute dearth in financial resources.
A few days earlier, a meeting was held by pro-government military and security parties in Damascus to discuss the situation in Babila, Yalda, and Beit Sahem. The meeting occurred after a so-called Abu Fahd Mayaza gunman attacked a MiG fighter jet hovering over the territory with a machinegun. Reports have emerged on a projected military offensive by the regime army on Rif Dimashq’s southern corners in an attempt to force the opposition outfits to throw in the towel and retreat to Idlib.
