10 Palestinians were tortured to death in Syrian government penitentiaries during the second half of 2016, bringing the number of torture victims in 2016 to 26, a joint report issued by AGPS and PRC on Tuesday found out.
According to the report, titled “Palestinians of Syria and the Closed Doors,” the number of victims of torture and enforced deportation among the Palestinian community in war-torn Syria has hit 457.
The report sheds light on the deteriorating situation endured by the Palestinian refugees in the embattled Syrian territories along, with the ensuing movements of mass exodus and forced deportation.
The report provides thorough data on the number of casualties and detainees for the period from July to December 2016.
