ISIS militias on Sunday morning closed off a roadblock separating Yarmouk Camp from Yalda town for unidentified reasons. Schoolchildren and civilians trapped inside the camp were denied access out of and into the area through the roadblock.
At the same time, violent clashes burst out between ISIS and the opposition squads. Sounds of heavy blasts were also spotted near the AlUruba checkpoint, connecting Yalda to Yarmouk Camp. Injuries were reported on both sides.
Meanwhile, AGPS field reporter said the Palestinian refugee Burhan AlAbtah, a resident of Yarmouk, was hit and lightly wounded with a bullet fired by an ISIS sniper.
