New Statistics on Number of Palestinian Families from Syria Conducted in Ein AlHilweh Camp

The Federation of Islamic Organizations announced the launch of new statistics for the number of Palestinian refugee families displaced from Syria in Ein AlHilweh Camp, in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon. The statistics kicked off on Monday, April 3, 2017, and will be wrapped up on April 24.

The statistics-based study aims to document the number of the Palestinians from Syria in Lebanon so as to provide them with much-need needed relief and food aids.

A number of Palestinian families have left Ein AlHilweh due to the security mayhem rocking the shelter. Others have sought shelter elsewhere in an attempt reunite with their family members.

Concerned families are required to hand over their identity and travel documents to the office of the Federation of Islamic Organizations and put down their updated personnel information on special registers.

Some 726 Palestinian families from Syria, out of 9,000 families who fled to Lebanon from war-ragged Syria, are taking shelter in Ein AlHilweh Camp.
