2 Palestinians Pronounced Dead in War-Torn Syria, Death Toll Hits 3,476

Palestinian refugee Ziad Hamid Mutliq al-Barhoumi, a resident of Daraa Camp, in southern Syria, succumbed to wounds sustained a few days earlier in an onslaught on the camp.

AGPS documented the death of 248 Palestinian residents of Daraa Camp since the outburst of the Syrian conflict.

Reporting from southern Damascus, AGPS field correspondent also said the Palestinian refugee Abu Rabi’ AlKar’ouna, the commander of AlKara’in battalion in Yarmouk Camp, was killed in a blast rocking a tunnel between Palestine Street and AlTadhamun neighborhood.

AlKara’in militia was formed following an offensive by the Syrian MiG fighter jets on Abdul Kadir AlHusseini Mosque and AlFalouja School in Yarmouk Camp on December 16, 2012. The onslaught claimed the lives of dozens of civilians, left several others wounded, and forced 80% of Yarmouk residents out of the camp. 25 to 30 opposition fighters from Yarmouk joined the squad.
