A joint report recently issued by AGPS and the Palestinian Return Center (PRC) under the title “Palestinians of Syria and the Closed Doors” for the second half of 2016 documented cases of success stories achieved by the Palestinians from Syria in Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Austria, and the Netherlands.
Such achievements included successful participations in and contributions to a set of exhibitions, rallies, sports activities, cultural workshops, and international competitions.
Palestinians from Syria have also been actively engaged in human rights campaigns and activities staged in the UK, Switzerland, and Sweden. One such outstanding contribution was made by AGPS Executive Director, Mr. Ahmed Hussein, also PRC delegate, at the 32nd and 33rd sessions of the UN Human Rights Council.
According to the findings of the report, over 85,000 Palestinians from Syria have sought shelter in Europe.
