Palestinian refugees in Deraa, AlMuzeireeb, Jilin, and Tel Shehab, south of Syria, have sounded distress signals over the tragic health situation due to the unabated onslaughts rocking the area.
The area has also been devoid of clinics and hospitals, except for a handful of under-equipped emergency centers. The situation has gone downhill due to UNRWA cuts of its relief services.
Activists attributed the health crisis to the tough cordons imposed by the Syrian government forces on the main access roads out of and into the area, along with the lack of access to life-saving medicines and UNRWA’s dragging of its feet vis-à-vis the appeals frequently launched by the Palestinian refugee community in southern Syria.
