Food, Medical Aid to Be Allowed Entry into Yarmouk as Part of 1st Phase of 5-Town Agreement

The anti-government Tahrir AlSham Commission in Syria revealed the terms of a so-called “five-town agreement” after they were undeclared for some time. Yarmouk Camp comes as the fifth area covered by the terms of the agreement.

The first articles of the agreement stipulate that in the first phase medical and food Aid be allowed to enter the camp and that emergency cases be allowed access out of the camp. In the second phase, the fighters and those who wish to leave for Idlib will be granted a safe passage. There are 60 days between the two phases, which begin with the exit of the first round of fighters from Kafarya and al-Fu’a, north of Syria.

According to a statement by Tahrir AlSham, 1,000 stranded residents, including families sheltered in Tahrir AlSham-led zones in Yarmouk, will be allowed access to northern Syria after they sounded distress signals over their dire conditions.
