Armed groups south of Damascus unblocked on Wednesday the checkpoint set up on the main access road between Yarmouk and Yalda. Traffic has been back to normal in the area as civilians and schoolchildren regained free movement inside and out. Foodstuff and medicines have also been allowed a safe entry into the camp. The breakthrough comes after the warring parties reached an agreement to neutralize the Yarmouk-Yalda thoroughfare.
The access road had been frequently closed off after ISIS in Yarmouk and AlHajar AlAswad was held accountable for executing opposition fighters and activists in Yalda.
