AlWafa Charity Cookery has started a campaign to provide Palestinian refugees from Syria in the Lebanese Bekaa Valley and in Yarmouk Camp, among other areas south of Damascus, with Iftar meals (evening meal when Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset).
AlWafa Cookery staff members distributed on Saturday Iftar meals to 30 Palestinian families displaced from Syria in Bekaa and 150 meals to Palestinian families deported from Yarmouk to Yalda, Babila, and Beit Sahem, south of Damascus.
According to one of the campaigners, the move makes part of underway attempts to alleviate the crisis endured by the displaced and stranded Palestinian communities in war-ragged Syria and Lebanon.
