Norway Pledges Reconstruction of Yarmouk Camp Infrastructure

Norwegian delegate in Damascus expressed Norway’s readiness to help reconstruct the infrastructure of besieged Yarmouk Camp in partnership with UNRWA and the Syrian government after all armed militias retreat from the camp.

The pledges were released during a meeting held on Tuesday at the office of the head of the political department of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Ambassador Anwar Abdul Hadi, in Damascus.

Abdul Hadi briefed the Norwegian delegate on the tragic situation endured by the Palestinian refugee community in beleaguered camps across war-ravaged Syria.

The meeting was held at a time when Yarmouk residents have been on tenterhooks in anticipation of ISIS retreat. ISIS militias grabbed hold of 60% of Yarmouk after they crept into the camp in 2015.
