Palestine Red Crescent Denies It Distributed Rotten Food to Palestinians from Syria in AlBadawi Camp

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Lebanon denied that it had distributed rotten food to the Palestinians from Syria in AlBadawi Camp during the first and second days of Ramadan.

According to a Red Crescent statement emailed to AGPS, the organization’s delegates in Safad Clinic distributed meals cooked in a restaurant in Tripoli using an air-conditioned vehicle, in partnership with the Kuwaiti Red Crescent and the Lebanese Red Cross.

The statement added that no cases of intoxication or health disorders have been reported over recent days in Safad clinic or other Tripoli-based hospitals.

The Palestinian Red Crescent appealed to the mass media to cease releasing counterfeit data and halt ad hominem campaigns against the organization, vowing to continue its efforts to serve the Palestinian people in the very best ways possible.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society was founded in 1968. It makes part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. It provides relief services to the displaced Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territories and overseas.
