Iftar Meal Distributed to Yarmouk Bachelors in Damascus

Break-of-fast meals were distributed by a NGO promoting women’s rights and social development to Yarmouk’s bachelors who returned from Lebanon after the end of exams.

The dinner was hosted by Sa’id AlAs Center, run by the General Commission for Palestinian Arab Refugees in Syria. A number of UNRWA school headmasters and supervisors were in attendance. Cash aids were distributed to the students on the sidelines of the meal.

Students in southern Damascus embark on life-threatening journeys to take exams. They are often allowed access out of the area through the southern corners, following the consent of the Syrian authorities.
