Dozens of Elderly Civilians in Yarmouk Camp Left on the Breadline

Stranded civilians in blockaded Yarmouk have been grappling with a calamitous situation due to the absence of relief aids. Elderly civilians remain most affected by the crisis in the poverty-stricken camp.

The situation has gone far worse after ISIS grabbed hold of the camp, forcing most of the relief bodies to backtrack from the area.

Survival for hundreds of elderly civilians and dispossessed families in the area largely hinges on a handful of meals handed over by charity cookeries during Holy Ramadan and occasional aids by UNRWA which do not meet civilians’ basic needs due to the soaring food prices.
