AGPS found out that women make up 40,62 % of Palestinians who died as they fled war-torn Syria. 57 men, amounting to 59.38 % died on the migration road, compared to 39 women.
Children also make up 26.04% of Palestinians killed on their way out of war-ravaged Syria.
AGPS documented the death of 96 Palestinian refugees on the migration road during the period between July 2012 and April 2017.
463 Palestinian women from Syria died of war-related incidents, most notably shelling, sniper attacks, clashes, and torture.
AGPS believes that the exact number of casualties is far higher as the bodies of several victims who drowned onboard “the death boats” to Europe and other destinations have not been pulled out.
